Geofence Groupons. Eliminates the hassles of searching for Groupons by triggering the specific Groupon coupon at your location. Uses the GPS radio only when you are moving, shuts the radio off when your device is stationary for more than 20 seconds - extending your batterys life.
When you are physically within 50 yards/meters and “step on” or drive near a business that has a local Groupon offer, the app plays a sound notification and delivers you directly to that Groupon offer page. (Geofencing all local Groupon offers)

Never miss another Groupon offer because you either forgot the Groupon or forgot to look for one. Our Trip Wires mark each specific local Groupon offer by creating a virtual perimeter around each target business, marked by the TripWire icons shown on the map. All you have to do is walk into this area or drive near it to Trip the Wire. (The Green colored circle surrounding your blue dot marks what is 50 meters away.) Rediscover what it feels like to be amazed.
This is how it should work! TripWire for Groupon is a helper app that you leave running in the background and forget about it. (It is up to you to purchase the deal, we bring you directly to that specific Groupon offer page, all you have to do is let the app run in the background and Trip an invisible Wire.)
(Your location information is never shared with anyone, not even Groupon.) Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
(When prompted for GPS location & Notification, if you answer No, the app will not work, you also must reply YES to allow Notifications to be sent to you, otherwise you cannot hear our notification sound or see the message. Also, leave it running in the background, no need to kill it, we shut off the radio when you are not moving.)
